Leadlights, and great mahogany fretwork features - decorated with
a strong Scottish flavour. Heraldic shield and clan colours are used to
decorate the bistro where carvery and a la carte meals are available.
Bundanoon boasts the best Chinese
restaurant in the Southern Highlands - excellent fare compares to the
best in Chinatown! Open 7 days a week and very family friendly.
Pizzas and pastas are made freshly for
you to bring back to Morvern Valley to enjoy.
Albert's restaurant is a must for those
wanting a really fine silver service meal - a quality restaurant just 5
minutes walk from Morvern.
Bundanoon has convenience stores for all your food
and essential needs, there is a doctor, a pharmacy, a newsagency, a
butcher, a bakery, a bottle shop, Australia Post and an excellently
stocked delicatessen.
There is also a seven day a week supermarket to buy
supplies, or why not just take it easy and sample the local restaurants
or get excellent and varied take-away!

Places to go in Bundanoon
The Morton
National Park, Bundanoon's spectacular waterfalls are a must see attraction. All plunge from sheer sandstone
cliffs into deep rainforest gorges.
Perhaps an excursion into the
spectacular Morton National Park – just metres from your front door,
could be undertaken using the two Mountain bikes are provided at no
extra charge at your Bundanoon Cottage.
Fairy Bower Falls is amazing and
you can bathe under them just like in those 'dreamy' TV advertisements.
Steep stairs take you to the base of the falls to indulge, or you can
enjoy a family picnic at the top.
Glow Worm Glen is an exciting twilight walk down
a path to a cave as it gets dark, glow worms light up the walls.
Remember to bring some torches! You will take home great family memories
with this one...
Erith Coal Mine The remains of
the old mine are interesting, a medium grade, short bushwalk leads down
to them, and there is a lovely natural pool for swimming at the base of some metal stairs. Signs tell
the history of the mines - very interesting.
Bundanoon Creek This is a
long walk but well worth it if you are fit and used to bushwalking.
About 3 hrs return, the walk is steep in places. The creek is lovely, fresh and
clear, swim and picnic before returning up the track for a good nights
sleep at Morvern Valley Farm Cottages.
Great Picnic spots
When visiting the Morton National park, use the picnic
basket and blanket at your Morvern Valley Guesthouse, find yourselves
an enchanting, secluded spot by a waterfall, in a rainforest, or at a
lookout - some of which have picnic tables and benches.

Horse Riding For All Ages Just 5 minutes from Morvern Valley are two fabulous
places to hire horses to ride. Shibumi is just 2kms away, it is a newly built equestrian
centre. At Suttons Forest there is The Southern Highlands Equestrian
Centre. Both will teach kiddies to ride or offer riding
experiences for your family.
Berry Picking Closeby Just 5 minutes away is a berry farm!
You can pick berries and sample as many as you want while enjoying this
experience! It is only seasonal of course - when the berries are ripe
and ready for your really special adventure.
Lawn Bowls, Croquet, Swimming Pool,
Cricket nets, Tennis courts, BMX track Bundanoon village has a great community
spirit and we have fabulous facilities right here in Bundnanoon.

Day outings in other villages of The Southern Highlands A short drive away from your Bundanoon Accomodation
are
the Southern Highlands towns of Bowral, Burrawang, Berrima, Moss Vale,
Mittagong and Robertson.
Berrima is great for a day trip with little jam
and tea shops,
a museum, galleries, unusual shops and don’t forget to stop for
a coffee at Berkelow’s Book Barn. Pack the picnic basket in your
Morvern cottage - and set out for a picnic by the river.
Burrawang is worth a special
mention with its lovingly restored hotel. The hotel has an innovative
menu, log fires, a beautiful garden overlooking rolling hills, and
Yes... its even family friendly too!
Fitzroy Falls is magnificent and
has good facilities, coin operated BBQs, Picnic huts, a visitors centre
with wildlife displays. There is also a cafe. It is family friendly and
the lookouts are suitable for those families with prams.
Bowral Visit the Bradman Cricket Museum,
stroll along the heritage country shopping street. Visit Open Gardens,
buy gourmet supplies to bring back to Morvern.
Robertson The Illawarra Sky walk
is now open - walk higher than the treetops on a steel suspension
lookout, sensational views
and an adventure experience for families. There is a restaurant with gourmet
style dishes and good freshly ground coffees. Or why not just visit the
famous Robertson Pie Shop and peruse the quaint collectable and book shops before looking
at Carrington and Belmore falls.
Wineries There are many wineries with cellar door sales nearby,
so stock up during your stay at Morvern – your Bundanoon accommodation.
There are 23 cellar doors to keep you busy - many with cafes and
restaurants - but all in lovely country settings.
Country drives will allow you to see wild kangaroos,
wombats and native animals we recommend a drive through Kangaloon to
Robertson. Or from Bundanoon through Penrose to Tallong.
Country Markets are held every Sunday throughout
the year in a village close by. Markets are held at Bundanoon on the
first and the third Sunday of each month.
